I had this idea with Capt. Matt Tennie to control video game parameters with face tracking so this is a first trial run tying pumping FaceOSC data through Osculator to Pure Data.
Pure Data + Arduino + 10 Buttons + 10 Animations
I seem to have figured out both the code and wiring I’m going to need to do to make my giant keyboard. Per some wise advice from Paul the Duck I’m just going to bury preconfigured push buttons underneath the giant keys I’m making. User push down giant key, giant key hit little push button, animation plays – PROFIT!
Demo using placeholder buttons and video:
While not quite to scale and possibly missing a few more buttons this is a close to scale mockup of the giant keyboard I am making which will be positioned on the floor and used while sitting:
I also have a projector now and have started playing around with projecting faces onto surfaces:

I’m going to be using either TouchOSC or Arduino to build a user interface for my project in Project Development Studio.
This week I used data from FSR inputs on an Arduino to make silly sounds in Pure Data.
This exercise will be informative for my giant project development studio keyboard. I’ll probably use analog FSR inputs for the keys.
Messing around with a simple sound sequencer in Pure Data.
